God cares for you

At times, we go through life struggles, and we carry the burden on our own. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are being admonished to cast our cares unto God because he cares for us. It is so unfortunate that when we encounter a problem, we try to solve it independently. We make God the last resort, but the writer in 1 Peter 5:7 advises us to do otherwise. God truly cares about us, and when we go to him with our struggles, he comes through for us, but it may not be on our timing but his timing. We can also be encouraged by this scripture in Matthew 11:28 that God truly wants us to come to him with our struggles. "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Also, trying and carrying our burdens and struggles means we don't trust God. It also means we can do better independent of God. I used to operate like that, carrying my struggles and burden until I realized there was a better option. I will say by God's grace, I have overcome, and God is still working on me. I will implore you to trust God with your burdens and struggles because God cares for you. King Solomon writes in Proverbs 3:5, "trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding."

We must humbly come before God and acknowledge that we have a problem, and that is when God sends us help. Some problems are solved by God instantaneously, and others take time. We must also trust God and his timing and have faith that His promise will come through for us.

So how do we cast our cares unto God? There are three principles to follow: humility, commitment, and surrender.

Commitment: we must realize that we cannot do it ourselves. We must commit to the Lord every burden and struggle that weighs us down for God to give us a breakthrough.

Surrender: We often commit the problems to God, but we are still holding on and micromanaging instead of total surrender. God does not need us to micromanage our problems but what he requires of us is total surrender. We will also never experience a breakthrough unless we have totally surrendered. The enemy will whisper lies in your ears not to surrender to God, but we must trust God and have faith in Him that what He has promised will come to pass.

Humility: we must humbly come before God and admit our inability to solve our problems. When we humbly commit and surrender our problems to God, the answer will not come the time we expected, but eventually, his will is done in our lives.

In summary, I wrote this article to admonish and encourage all of us to trust God with our problems and have faith in him because He will meet us at the point of our needs.
