The Webster dictionary defines motivation as a mental force that induces an act, a determining impulse. To accomplish anything, we need a mental force that will induce us to act.

To stay motivated:

1. Know what you want.

2. Your goals must be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-sensitive.

3. What are the benefits of what you want to accomplish?

Accepting that your goals can become a reality would increase your motivation and the mental force to achieve them. It’s always easy to stay motivated goals. Whiles goals are the hardest to motivate unless you have the mental force driving you to achieve them. So, it is imperative to start with goals to gain motivation to proceed to the goals.

How to stay motivated?

1. Please don’t focus on your problems: emphasizing your problems makes it bigger. Life problems are inevitable, and they will come without warning. If you are feeling unmotivated and have no desire to do anything, engage in activities that will motivate you: going to the movies, going for a walk, visiting friends, and reading inspirational books.

2. Practice positive self-talk: say positive words aloud or write a positive statement and post it on the wall in your room. Remember that positive self-talk must be backed with actions.

3. Rewrite your goals: don’t just write your goals and do nothing. Act every day in pursuing your goals. It is said that the secret to your success is hidden in your daily routine. So, what you do daily affects your success.

4. Be optimistic: read about people who have already achieved success. Reading autobiography about success people will inspire and propel you to be motivated to achieve your goals.

Remember that delay does not mean denial. Never give up, never quit, keep going and keep doing. You will achieve success if you don’t quit.
